A Welcome Distraction

This is one of our rare projects: a staging job for a client who cares about renting the entire property. This is an SF rental that was completely redone with new, blond hardwood, warm berber carpet, and creamy walls. This detail should be remembered during the following narrative. We moved over 5 cubic yards of compost through the home in 5-gallon buckets, 15 gallon plants reaching 8-feet tall, and bags of mulch. Dozens of 4-inch and 1-gallon specimen were installed for a sunny, woodland feel. Mostly California natives, we informally grouped plants around retaining walls and winding pathways.
All the stones were salvaged from on-site demolition, a great way to get around hauling more messy materials through a pristine remodel.
